Marty Gool

At Strength to Grow Your Faith, we believe the Book of Revelation was never meant to frighten believers—it was intended to strengthen them.

For too long, Revelation has been taught through the lens of doom and prediction. But what exists in the Book of Revelation is so much more. What do we see? We see a Lamb. We see covenant. We see God’s steadfast love revealed through ḥesed (steadfast love), qadosh (holiness), and berith (covenant faithfulness).

Marty Gool, a lifelong shepherd who has spent over fifty years walking with people through their confusion, crisis, and spiritual hunger. Strength to Grow Your Faith was created to meet believers where they are. Even in those when the challenges of life seemingly have halted your forward progress. Those Gethsemane moments when we know what we have to is not what we want to but what we have been called to do. It is in those moments when we look back are reminded. If God had not been on my side we would not have made it.

Whether you’re a lifelong Bible reader or just beginning your faith journey, what you’ll find here is not confusion, but clarity. Not fear, but restoration. Not speculation, but a revelation of who God truly is.

My Journey as a Pastor

For over fifty years, I’ve had the privilege of serving as a pastor—walking with people through seasons of joy, grief, doubt, and discovery. I’ve led Bible studies, counseled those in crisis, and sat with believers who wanted to trust God but didn’t know how. They wanted to stand but did not how to stand, or they could trust in their time of difficulty.

That’s why I created Strength to Grow Your Faith. This is more than a website—it’s a calling. I launched it with joy because I believe you as well as your faith will grow from what you read here. I launch it with gratitude, because every lesson I teach has been shaped by those who helped me grow—through their love, their questions, and even their pain.

I know what it means to struggle with faith. To be called to something larger than you and then hit a wall. To feel like you’re marching toward your purpose—and then suddenly with a lingering pause, wonder if you have the strength to keep pushing forward. Even Jesus had a moment like that. In Gethsemane, when the weight of the cross became real, He prayed, wrestled, and ultimately surrendered, because He trusted God enough to grow in that moment.

That’s what this site is for—those moments. The Gethsemane moments in our lives. When you’re not sure you have what it takes to continue. When society’s pressures make faith seem like an uphill battle. When your job, your relationships, and even your own heart challenge what you believe. When the beast of empire challenges your commitment to the Lamb. When the compromises of Babylon are no longer surface but become real.

I don’t offer predictions. This isn’t a doomsday site. I offer guidance rooted in Scripture—especially in the Book of Revelation, guidance that won’t scare you, but will strengthen your faith in God.

What Changed Everything

When I began teaching the Book of Revelation I discovered something new. Something I had never seen before. While my members were still fearful and apprehensive about Revelation. My apprehension diminished. If God had not opened my eyes when I read Revelation 5:5-6. I would have led them down the same rabbit hole so many are doing when they teach this awesome book. Those two verses transformed my understanding of God, Revelation, and the entire Bible.

Those two verses changed my understanding of God and power forever.

Through the image of the “Lamb of God,” I saw a picture of divine love, holiness, and covenant faithfulness that reshaped everything I thought I knew. I began to teach my congregation the Book of Revelation rooted in who the Lamb truly is:

  • ḥesed— unconditional love, steadfast even when we’re not
  • qadosh— perfect holiness that restores, not condemns
  • berith— God’s unbreakable covenant, always inviting us home

After all these years of pastoring, it was Revelation that taught me the heart of God more clearly than ever before. God is not the God of wrath, doom, and punishment. Far from that. When you read the articles on this site, you’ll see the character of the Lamb of God woven throughout them—the Lion of Judah who conquered as a Lamb.

The Perspective You’ll Find Here

Not predictions.

Not fear.

But restoration.

A deeper walk.

stronger faith.
